Friday 23rd June 7pm-1am Posh Frocks and Sharp Suits

The weekend kicks off with Posh Frocks and Sharp Suits cocktail party. Put on your finery – which doesn’t need to be “black tie” if you don’t want to – and come and enjoy a delicious three course dinner followed by music from local band Isabelle.  Pre –dinner cocktails will be available from our resident cocktail mixologist who will whip up some fabulous drinks and there will, of course, be the usual full bar.  Dinner will be served around 8pm followed by dancing to the band until 1am.

Tickets £50.00 are available online from the website.

Saturday 24th June 7.30pm-1am Do You Remember House? hosted by Housemouse

This summer a little slice of Ibiza is coming to Pitstone. Do You Remember House? is a club night, the likes of which is only usually seen on the White Isle. PIE talks to DJ Mark Scott about the event.

Who are Housemouse?

Quite simply we are a group of local friends who have been DJing, partying and promoting in Ibiza for 25 years. We LOVE dance music and we are on a mission to share that love!

Would people of any age enjoy the night?

Of course! If you like to party and you’re over 18 you’ll love it! There’s no upper age limit to partying is there? Bring it on. Life’s too short 🙂

What can people expect from the night?

Well, it’s a night club in a tent, on a lawn in a village in June….with some really really funky, upbeat house music and an awesome sound system that will deliver crystal clear melodies and punchy bass.  We all love to party, right? Hopefully the weather will be lovely and we’ll kick things off @7.30pm under a warm evening sun. The cocktails will be flowing, people will be in the mood for dancing and we’ll tease them onto the dance floor with some happy tunes. As the sun goes down, the lights will go up and we’ll take you on a lovely musical journey with cool electronic riffs and great basslines! We’ve only got until 1am so we will pack the tunes in tightly and keep the energy up high to make the most of the time. There will be a few ‘theatrical’ surprises along the way too to keep you entertained… this will be a really fun night.

What is house music?

The name ‘house’ music has its origins in the ware’house’ parties held in Chicago in the 1980s. The music from these parties came over to Europe and in the early 1990’s and became fused with more mainstream pop and dance music culture here. No more so than on the beautiful party island of Ibiza where the ‘Balearic’ sound emerged. Today that sound is everywhere. We all just know it as ‘cool’ dance music. You hear it every day on your car radio or on your Spotify playlists. We’re going to bring you the best of the last 25 years of Balearic house/dance music. Some tracks everyone will know, some tracks none of you will know, some tracks you’ll have heard before but never remixed in that way. We’re going to fuse them into one lovely big funky night and you’ll dance your socks off!

What’s your go-to track that’s guaranteed to get people on the dance floor?

Well, we’ve got lots of tracks that will get you on the dance floor and keep you there …We’re not giving away too much at this stage… it’s a live performance and completely fluid, but just to tease you a little…. how about The Matt Smallwood Remix of Inner City’s ‘Good Life’. It’s an Ibiza classic and we defy anyone not to throw some funky shapes to it at high volume!

What is ideal attire for the night?

There’s absolutely no dress code…anything goes… if you want to dress up and look super cool or super sexy then great… if you think you dance better in a bin bag then no one will judge you!
